  • 1970 Foundation of the Company by Hoechst Holland N.V., Amsterdam, a 100 % subsidiary of Hoechst AG, as manufacturer for polystyrene trays within the food packaging industry. 
The aim is to create upstreamoperations to the Hoechst polymer plant at Breda, the Netherlands.  
  • 1980 Recycling and recovery of in-house polystyrene waste.
  • 1988 Change to using environmentally friendly blowing agents as one of the first in the industry.
  • 1990 Concentration of all DEPRON activities, especially Development, Marketing & Sales, Finance and Administration, in Weert; the Company works as a business unit within Hoechst Holland N.V.
  • 1995 Start of production of a special type of open-cell foam trays (patented in 39 countries for polystyrene and other polymers).
  • 1997 Sale of the Company by Hoechst through a management buyout.
  • 1999 Start of paper laminated foam-board production.
  • 2000 Start of barrier tray production with in mold trimming
  • 2001 September 2001, start of production of barrier trays.
  • 2001 Investment first big Irwin.
  • 2003 Start of backing board production for fish packaging.
  • 2009 Investment in second big Irwin.
  • 2009 Investment in high speed inline padder.
  • 2010 Start production Medical Disposables
  • 2010 Start of product range in bio degradable foam (PLA).
  • 2010 Entering vacuum backing board business
